To commemorate Squale's 60th birthday, Squale has introduced the SUB-39 series, a retro-inspired by the late 50s when Von Buren, the founder of Squale, was designing and producing watch cases for many popular brands back then.
The unique watch case of all SUB-39 series is inspired by the original model. Comfort of the wearer is achieved via the 39 mm watch case diameter, 48.5 mm lug-to-lug length and 12 mm of thickness (including the domed sapphire crystal). A 3 o'clock positioned screw-down diamond crown ensures the watch is tightly sealed from any water ingress. Strapping around the wearer's wrist is a pair of Italian handmade leather strap with matching blue stitches.
A quick glance on the watch face is indeed intriguing. The sunburst blue dial, the unpainted stainless steel bezel, the pair of dauphine hour and minute hands, the classic 15-minute marker bezel, etc. Couple with the smooth ticking (28,800 bph) of the second hand, powered by the Sellita SW200 Elaborated grade Swiss movement, one could literally stare at the watch and be mesmerized by the vintage charm!
